Arts Courses in 12th is rather good option for the enthusiastic students. These
students have plenty of educational opportunities after 12th to select as per their
interest and convenience. Languages of different states and countries, religious
studies, performing arts, fine arts, social sciences etc. come under Arts subjects.
There are few subjects like Mathematics, Computer Applications, and Anthropology
etc that come under Arts subjects besides being in Science subjects.
Few of the students choose to work after 12th for different reasons. Working students
have the advantage of acquiring experience. However, it is suggested to continue
the studies besides working. Though few of the Government jobs and Private jobs
require passing class 12 as academic eligibility, the improvement of academic qualification
help the student better to ahead in the career path. Many of the colleges and institutions
offer correspondence courses and evening classes for the working students.
For many of the courses like Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor, passing 12th is
the minimum academic eligibility. All of these courses have better job opportunities
and further educational opportunities. For Master’s Degree, Bachelor degree is must.
Thus, those who wish to attain Master’s Degree should go for Bachelor degree course.
Many of the
Diploma Courses can also be done besides the regular Bachelor courses.
Few of the subjects like Fine Arts, Diploma also do have much value. Many jobs require
Diploma or Certificate as educational requirement. Several students also choose
to take Diploma Courses in different subjects besides the Bachelor Degree. This
helps them to have knowledge of several subjects. For instance, students of languages
complete the diploma in Computer Application. This helps them to take the distinctive
jobs like online content writer for which the knowledge of computers and the language
are necessary.
Arts students have ample opportunities in Government and Private Sectors. Few of
the major options are:
Teaching/ Lecturer/ Professor: Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Education
is the minimum requirement to enter the field. CTET/TET and
NET/SET are the eligibility
exams for the Teachers and Lecturers respectively. On completion of Ph.D., one will
be eligible for being a Professor.
Civil Services: The
Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC
allows one to have the higher administrative positions in IAS, IPS, IFS etc. Graduation
is the minimum eligibility. Many prefer to have Graduation in subjects like Public
Administration to get better knowledge for Civils.
Print and Mass Media: It’s one of the best chosen career options
of Arts students. Journalist, Editor, Writer, Choreographer, Dancer, Music Director,
Singer, Director, Lyricist etc are the major job titles. The opportunities are found
in News papers, Magazines, Publishing Companies, Film Industry, Television Industry
and Advertising Companies.
There are several other sectors like Financial and IT, those who recruit Arts students
in several positions. The students also have the better option of choosing self
employment.
