Law and Politics, Religion, Philosophy, Tourism etc are the major fields of Humanities
to name. The minimum knowledge of the subjects is provided before class 12 that
students get good idea on which field to choose. The detailed knowledge of the field
is aimed in Graduation and Diploma courses. The academic eligibility for these courses
is passing in class 12.
Majority of these courses chosen by those who wish to have a career in the fields
like Civil Services, Journalism, Education, Writing or such other. The aspirants
of Civil Services are suggested to choose Humanities in Graduation to gain the better
subject knowledge of Politics and Administration. Those who have flair of writing
also choose any of the Language in the Graduation to learn the better techniques
of writing. Law, Tourism and Journalism courses are meant for the aspirants to be
professionals in those fields.
After Graduation, one can either go for studying Post Graduation or try for job
opportunities. Many of the job profiles of Government and Private require Graduation
as minimum academic qualification. Those who wish to continue the studies have Post
Graduation Courses offered in regular and correspondence modes. The correspondence
mode also helps the working graduates to improve the qualification.
Many of these subjects are offered both in Graduation and in
Diploma Courses with
few specializations. Thus, the students have opportunity to pursue both of the qualifications
simultaneously. This helps the students to have knowledge on the multiple areas
and to make them versatile. For instance, if the English Language Graduate pursues
a Diploma in French or Japan, he or she would be more preferred in the jobs like
jobs at teaching institutes for teaching French or Japan language through English,
Jobs in call centers to handle international clients, jobs in consulates or embassies
etc.
As mentioned above, many of the jobs require Graduation in Humanities. The major
career roles of the Humanities students are: Editor, Journalist, Lawyer, Administrator,
Clerk, Teacher, Lecturer or Professor, Civil Servant, SalesPerson, Instructor, radio
jockey or TV Anchor, Writer, Travel Agent, Tourist Manager etc. Self employment
is also the best choice as the students can have Language teaching institute, Travel
Agency, Tourism Company, etc.
The payment varies as per the job but guarantees minimum good pay. The career growth
also becomes faster if the candidate improves the skills and qualification.
