Dutch is official language in Netherlands, Aruba, Belgium, Curacao, Sint Marten, Suriname, Benelux, European Union, Union of South American Nations and Caricom. The language has 30 million speakers including native and non native speakers, over the world. The writing system is Latin. Even the language is very close to German as well as English.
Dutch language has its roots in India in 1605. Dutch was very prominent in India during the century and faded around 1825. Today, Netherlands is one of the major investors of India. The Dutch embassy in New Delhi promotes their entrepreneurs in India.
Courses offered and the academic eligibility criteria for Dutch Courses

In these courses, the focus is paid on the four aspects of the language i.e., Listening, Reading, Speaking and writing as per the level of the course. Basic Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciation etc. are the major components of the courses. Few of the courses are as optional for Graduate Bachelor of Arts (B.A) course and yet is open to Master of Arts (M.A) and Ph.D.- students and faculty. Passing in the each level is the eligibility for the next level. The courses are hourly based courses and are conducted, mostly, weekly once or twice for an hour or two hours.
These courses also help those students who wish to study in Netherlands or any other Dutch speaking countries as Dutch Government provides grants though Netherlands Fellowship Program.

Educational organizations and institutes, BPO companies, tourism organizations and companies, importing and exporting companies are few of the fields that offer the employment options.
Learning the language is a good option for the business men so that they could establish or expand their business in the Dutch speaking countries or places. Many companies need the language experts to deal with the customers or clients of the language.

The Intermediate level courses are sufficient for the jobs like Customer Relation Executive or the business men. The other job roles like instructor deserve a higher level course.
