Central Police Organization Sub Inspector Examination is conducted by Staff Selection Commission. Academic Eligibility is holding Graduation Degree in any of the disciplines or its equivalent from a recognized University. Candidates of final year of Degree are also eligible for the exam. Minimum age limit is 20 and maximum age limit is 25.
The candidates must meet the physical standards mentioned. Physical Standards for the male are – Height must be minimum 170 cm, Chest must be minimum 80 cm as normal and 85 cm when expanded. For Female Candidates – Height must be minimum 157 cm. These Physical Standards are relaxed for Scheduled Tribes and for the candidates from few of the States.

Selection procedure includes - Written test, Physical Endurance Test and Personality Test/Interview.
Written Test has two papers. Paper I contain four parts – General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Each of the section carries 50 marks. The exam is Objective Type. The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
Paper II contains the questions on English Language and Comprehension. Number of questions is 200 and each question carries 1 mark. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. Paper II is evaluated for those candidates who qualify in Paper I.
Those who clear the written test are eligible for Physical Endurance Test. It includes running, long jump, high jump and shot put for men; running, long jump and high jump for women.
Central Police Organization Sub Inspector - How to Apply?
Candidate must apply online through the official website. Before applying, candidate must be ready with scanned passport sized photograph and scanned signature. Fee must be paid either using internet paying services like Valid Debit or Credit card, or by depositing the amount in any branches of mentioned bank using pay-in-slip. Two steps registration method is followed. In stage I, candidate gives his general details. On submission of stage I, system provides Registration ID through which Part II of application form must be filled which includes the details of what you are applying for etc. The e-admit card will be issued three weeks earlier to the exam date to the mentioned valid email ids.
