Minimum age limit is 18 and the maximum age limit is 28. The upper age is relaxed as per the Government rules. Passing 10 or its equivalent with 60% from a recognized Board is the required educational eligibility for the exam.
G.I.C. Assistants Exam Pattern
The selection procedure includes - Written examination and Interview.
Written test contains two papers. Paper-I is objective type. It contains five sections. Test of Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Clerical Aptitude, English Language and General Knowledge are the sections of Paper-I. The questions are provided in bilingual – Hindi and English, except for English Language test.
Paper-II is conducted Descriptive type. It contains Essay writing, Letter Writing and Precise Writing in English. Candidates are provided with internal options and they have to choose as per their proficiency.
Those who clear both the papers of written exam and qualify are eligible for the interview.

Candidates can also fill either handwritten or typed and send the filled application to the mentioned address. The fee is Rs.40/-. The fee is exempted for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Physically Handicapped, Ex-Servicemen and confirmed employees of the GIC.
