About IITJEE Entrance Exam
The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have standards that are recognized even at international levels. They are the pioneers in providing engineering and technological education. The Indian Institutes of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) was an engineering and technology entrance examination in India, conducted annually. A two phase Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) has replaced this in the year 2013. The new JEE consists of two tests- JEE main and JEE advanced. About one lakh fifty thousand candidates who have topped the JEE main will appear for the advanced test. The advantage about IITJEE exam is that this serves as a common entrance test for NITs, IITs and IIITs.
Eligibility Criteria for IITJEE Entrance Exam
The pass in higher secondary or equivalent examination is the minimum eligibility criteria for IITJEE. A pass in all the five subjects is mandatory. The year of passing the grade 12 exam is on or after 2013 that too in the first attempt. The maximum number of attempts allowed for the JEE main exam is three. In order to appear for JEE advanced exams the candidate should have cracked the JEE main test. A higher percentage of marks in plus two will help out in the selection process after JEE Advanced.

IITJEE Entrance Exam Syllabus
The exam syllabus mainly focuses in the areas of physics, chemistry and mathematics of higher secondary standards. For architecture there will be aptitude and drawing test. The curriculum of plus two followed by central board of secondary education has to be studied deeply. All the concepts and sub concepts are equally important from exam point of view. Apart from the basics in concepts the candidate should be well aware about the application of these in daily life.
How to apply for IITJEE Entrance Exam
The details on how to apply for IITJEE will be provided in the official website. The first procedure is to register online using the email id and personal details. On registering an application number and password will be provided for the aspirant, which has to be used for applying. All the instructions are to be read carefully and followed properly to avoid mistakes in filling. The scanned copy of passport size photo and signature should be uploaded in the required format. According to the category selected fee has to be paid. The payment should be made online using e challan. On completion of form submission, a hard copy has to be generated for future use by the candidate.
IITJEE Entrance Exam Pattern
The JEE main consists of two papers. Paper one is for B.E and B Tech while paper two is for architecture. Paper one is available in computer based mode or pen and paper based mode. But paper two is allowed only in offline mode. The duration of the test is for three hours. The exam pattern consists of 90 questions in total from physics, chemistry and mathematics. For correct answer, one can score 4 marks and lose one mark for wrong answers. Apart from this paper two has drawing and an aptitude test. For JEE advanced there are two papers of three hours each with 60 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, which can only be written in offline mode.
