- For engineering and technology courses the examination allows for Lateral Entry to the course, where the students is able to join the Second year of the Engineering degree course.
- For Pharmacy and hotel Management courses, the students are required to have passed the 10+ 2/ higher secondary with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics as the subjects and must have scored at least 45% marks (SC/ST – 40%) in the examination.
- For the MCA Course a 3 –year Bachelor’s Degree is essential and should have studied Mathematics at the Higher Secondary level or the Degree level and should have obtained an aggregate of 50% (SC/ ST 45%) in the examination. Students having scored an aggregate of 50% (SC/ ST 45%) in the BCA degree or the B.Sc. (Comp. Sc. / IT) are also eligible for lateral entry to the MCA course on successfully passing the UKSEE BHMCT Entrance Exam.

The Entrance Exam Pattern of the UKSEE BHMCT Entrance Exam consists of 9 papers with objective type questions of 1 mark each. Each paper carries 75 marks and the duration for all the papers is 1 hour 30 minutes except for Paper 1 and 5 which is of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
