The National Institute of Technology of Himachal Pradesh is situated at Hamirpur. The college was established in 1986. It was formerly named as Regional Engineering College and in the year 2002 it was upgraded as NIT. It was famous with the acronym NITH. With the motto ‘A goal is achieved through labour, not just by desire’, the college provides quality of education.

Eligibility for National Institute of Technology, Himachal Pradesh
Students have to pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as subjects and have to attain a rank in JEE Main examination, for the admission in Bachelor degree in Engineering. The admission is on the basis of the scores in JEE and in 10+2. For M.Tech., students has to pass GATE.
